On December 21, with the participation of the President of Russia, the grand opening of M12 Vostok highway took place. The length of the track is 810 km, and you can now get from Moscow to Kazan in 6.5 hours. The permitted speed limit is 110 km/h.
The new road includes 323 engineering structures together with the longest bridge over the Volga. Its length is 3.36 km. Also, for the convenience of motorists, 18 multifunctional zones are already operating on the highway. Here one can refuel the car, have a snack and just relax.
The road is equipped with a Free Flow system. This means that payment for travel is carried out either using a transponder during the trip, or after its completion on the website of Avtodor - Toll Roads LLC. There you can also find the tariffs.
