On September 30, 2018, the laying of the first stone for the construction of cryogenic filling stations with liquefied natural gas on the Moscow-St. Petersburg M11 Highway took place.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Gazprom" Vitaly Markelov said that by 2022 they plan to launch six cryogenic filling stations on the M11 Highway. The first two are planning to launch by 2020, later the number can increase to 10.

He added that primarily cryogenic filling stations are designed for heavy-duty cars and buses, since the greatest effect from these stations is achieved on long-distance and international transportation.
