Exercises to eliminate the consequences of a mass accident were held on M11 Neva

On August 24, at 230 km of M11 Neva highway, UTS employees, together with specialists from the Tver branch of Avtodor, a contracting organization of MTTS JSC, the Ministry of Emergencies, the traffic police and emergency medical services, took part in exercises to eliminate the consequences of a mass accident.

According to legend, an accident occurred on the road with the participation of a passenger bus, a truck and two light vehicles, as a result of which 5 people died and another 15 were injured of varying severity. The roadway was blocked for traffic.

The UTS traffic safety inspectors were the first to arrive at the scene. They fenced off the scene with signal cones, and traffic control operators put a warning on VMS about the danger to drivers.

Further, by joint efforts, experts dismantled the barrier in the dividing strip in order to organize a detour of the scene. At the same time, medical workers provided first aid to the victims.
