UTS TSI service and rescue teams held joint exercises on M11

On December 10 and 11, 2019 UTS TSI service participated in the major rescue training held at toll plaza (TP) on 348 km of M11 highway (Moscow – St. Petersburg). Specialists worked over the cooperative rescue activities during the elimination of emergency consequences at TPs.

The exercises were held in two steps on six training spots in different regions including M11 highway. During the training specialists acted out several possible emergency circumstances on the highway next to the toll plaza, such as fire accident, urgent road users informing on weather deterioration, traffic accident with a bus, truck and two passenger cars involved, a passenger car and a truck recovery service provision, casualty evacuation by helicopter Mi-8 of EMERCOM Russia.

Besides, rescue services also acted out the occurrence of a 7-km long traffic congestion involving more than 1 thousand vehicles, as well as prepared for the operation of winter service machines, urgent traffic block, installation of massive equipment for heating and feeding people involved in the emergency situation, sites signing and road users informing via VMS.

All service teams worked out rescue operations strictly according to the regulations: from the moment of UTS TSI arrival at the accident place and all necessary rescue teams calling up to the first aid provision and evacuation of the injured from the toll plaza.
