On September 8, with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a new toll 308-kilometer section of M12 from Moscow to Arzamas was commissioned, connecting 4 regions at once - the city of Moscow, Moscow, Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions. It is expected that the traffic intensity on the site will be 40-50 thousand cars per day, and the distance from Moscow to Arzamas can be covered within 3,5 hours.
An ecoduct erected on the new site is the second animal crossing in Russia. Also in the section there is a new cable-stayed bridge over the Oka, which became the first cable-stayed bridge assembled almost entirely from domestic materials.
The owner of the road is the state company Avtodor, the operator of the site is LLC Unified Operator.
A barrier-free toll system operates on the site. The tariffs on M12 can be found here.
