Hitting a barrier will cause damage to violator’s vehicle

Intended avoiding of toll payment as well as hitting of a barrier is a violation of p. 2.5 and 2.6.1 of the Road Traffic Regulations which will cause penalties or even revocation of driver’s license. From now on the vehicle may be damaged – UTS changed the previous barriers into metal ones.

Rigid aluminium barriers are equipped with the mechanism preventing the barrier from moving aside without damage. It means that if a driver tries to pass Toll Plaza without payment, both operator’s property and the vehicle will be damaged.

A driver won’t be able to flee from the site of the accident as Toll Plazas are equipped with CCTV cameras. Even an attempt to flee is considered by the court as an administrative offense and threatens the user with revocation of his/her driver’s license for a period of up to 1.5 years.

Please, follow the Road Traffic Regulations and travel with comfort!
