M-4 became the most popular route for the May holidays

From April 28 to May 9, 2023, 3.5 million drivers used the highways operated by UTS. M-4 "Don" became the most demanded - almost 2.3 million vehicles passed through it. For comparison, in the same period last year, 2022, 2.2 million cars drove along the M-4.

According to statistics, during the May holidays, 412,000 vehicles drove along the M-3 Ukraine, 2.26 million along the M-4 Don, and 828 thousand along the M-11 Neva. 60% of drivers used transponder for payment, 30% - bank cards and 10% still pay in cash.

Use of a transponder significantly saves time when passing through a toll plaza (TP). The driver does not have to wait - he can use the non-stop lane, and the system automatically debits the device's account. But remember: replenish the balance in advance so that there are no unforeseen situations with payment at the TP.

“During the May holidays, we traditionally observe increased traffic on all road sections that we operate. In recent years, domestic tourism has been gaining momentum in Russia, and the number of people choosing a personal car for travel is growing from year to year. That is why the work of the toll road operator is becoming more and more visible and noticeable to all drivers every year. And we make every effort to ensure the comfort and safety of everyone,” - commented UTS General Director, Oleg Trofimov.

We remind you that UTS traffic safety inspectors’ service on toll highways is available at the single number *2323. All the calls and traffic safety inspectors’ assistance is free of charge.
