On June 2, at 282 km of M11 Neva highway there arranged the drills to eliminate the consequences of a traffic accident. The event was held with the participation of UTS traffic inspectors and employees of emergency services: Ministry of Emergency Situations, traffic police and ambulance teams.
According to legend, the traffic on the highway was blocked in the result of an accident. The first to arrive at the scene were UTS traffic safety inspectors, then - emergency specialists. Together they organized a detour through technological exits, promptly removed the "victims" from damaged cars and handed them over to the ambulance team. The scene of the accident was cleared, and traffic was soon restored.
Such exercises help to work out the actions of all services in conditions close to the real ones and establish the interaction of specialists to provide operational assistance. Each UTS TSI must undergo training in the course of "Provision of first aid in case of an accident" at the training center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and is allowed to work only after special briefing (safety work on the road, fire training) and preliminary medical examination.
